Mains-fed commercial fire sprinkler system?
False alarms due to pressure fluctuations?
Client fed-up with endless checks and resets?
You need a SEP Alarm Valve Booster Pump!
SEP designed this compact plug-and-play unit many years ago and, apart from some minor improvements over the years, the principle remains the same – this small booster pump maintains a set pressure around the alarm valve to eliminate false alarms. It’s powerful enough to maintain up to 9 bar above the mains inlet pressure, but the flow is controlled at a low level (using a series of differential orifices) so as to not confuse a full sprinkler activation.
Simple. But effective. And, as far as we know, unique in the market.
Alarm Valve Booster Pumps, also referred to as a False Alarm Booster Pump or Town Mains Booster Pump, is designed, made and tested in the UK. It is available in both 230v/singe-phase (usually available from stock) or 3-phase (made to order), and also in mains +4 bar (max 10 bar) and mains +9 bar (max 25 bar) versions. In addition, power consumption is extremely low, with even the largest pump at just 500w, and efficiency is maximised with the use of a pressure accumulator.
Simply connect the inlet, outlet and power supply – set your pressure and you’re good to go!
As with all of our products, if you’re not sure which model you need then just ask – unlike the ‘box-movers’, because it’s our product then we can always help with any technical questions…and we also have one set up in our own training suite, so if you want to come and see a demo or have a play, just let us know.
Because water supplies are becoming ever more unreliable, this is a product that we see growing every year, so if you have the problems mentioned at the top of this article, then Contact Us for more information.
