SEP Training

Since our bigger premises was being considered several years ago, creating a space to demonstrate to and train customers on our products has been on our agenda – and now it’s here! A FREE half-day demo/training course, which is full of useful tips and tricks (not sales spiel), and even includes a free lunch. Yes, you read it right!

What products? For several months now, we have had ‘live and working’ products set up and ready to run – our oil-free ultra-quiet Air Compressor, our LPCB/FM-approved Zone Guardian, both riser and sprinkler Pump Initiation Boards, our unique Alarm Valve (False Alarm) Booster Pump, and three types of Priority Demand Valves… plus, coming soon, a fully-working Grundfos FireSAFE!

For each of our main product groups, we cover: considerations and selection of the right model for the job, installation and commissioning, maintenance and – when all is not as it should be – troubleshooting, because the correct solution can save a significant outlay for your clients as well as giving them comfort that they are working with the best service provider, using the best products. Our focus is, of course, on our products – we are not qualified, nor attempting to, teach anything about fire sprinkler design, installation or the latest standards (please refer to BAFSA for that).

What we don’t do is stand at the front of a classroom environment preaching on and on… you don’t want to listen to it, and our MD will just get a sore throat! What we encourage is an interactive session, with lots of questions and real-life problems/examples, which we can then address while ‘playing with’ to demonstrate everything we know. The more interactive a session, the more everyone gets out of it.

Why are we doing this? Quite simply, we want to ensure that all of our customers and their clients get the best out of our products, and for that to happen, it starts with ensuring the product and model is the right one, it’s set up correctly and maintained well. If this is done, we know that our air compressors, for instance, can last for well over 20 years. The other important thing for SEP is that we are listening to our customers even more than we already have, because it’s good for us to learn about the real world outside of workshop production, and ultimately much of our product development comes from customer demands.

Here are some comments from customer groups who have already attended:

  • “Thank you! The training has been well received by the engineers, they have all passed on very positive feedback and found the presentation and practical training relevant and insightful. They have all recommend that all our existing and new engineers should attend as soon as possible. Great work Rob and SEP for actual useful product training and not just another sales pitch.”
  • “Brilliant guys, they enjoyed it… thanks for hosting and the feedback from the engineers has been great.”
  • “Cheers Rob. The guys had nothing but plaudits for a great morning of learning and product familiarisation. Great service and support as always.”
