We at SEP were excited and honoured to host another group of delegates from J&J Fire Engineering on 18th February for one of our free training sessions.
The team from J&J comprised a great mix of people – young/older, new/established, designers/service team/projects, local and three who made a big effort to attend from London… and including a female trainee Project Manager (that said, should the attendance of a woman at one of our sessions be ‘noteworthy’? Of course not; however, it’s still unfortunately rare, and going forwards we would love to see more!).
We spent quite a long time discussing and demonstrating all aspects of air compressors (there’s so much to talk about, Rob could ‘waffle on’ for days!), before moving on to cover pump initiation boards, Bailey & Mackey pressure switch setting, alarm valve booster pumps, Zone Guardian including the critical aspects of venting and pump maintenance/troubleshooting; finally, a brief demonstration of just some of the benefits of the Grundfos FireSAFE+!
We had some great questions – which always makes for a more interesting and informative session for everyone – and suggested some solutions to a couple of head-scratchers. These sorts of discussions are one of the main reasons why we offer these sessions free of charge, because yes of course we can teach customers but we can also learn a lot about issues out in the real world…which in turn helps us make better products for our customers and their clients.
So, thanks for the team from J&J – especially those who left home in the small hours – who have already booked another slot with us next month.
We really do enjoy these sessions, so if we can help you improve your skills across any of our product groups then Contact Us now.
