It’s another long (and expensive) road – so far 18 months since the original enquiry and almost 12 months since the formal application – but we are now in a position to report that a landmark step has been made in our attempt to secure FM approval for our LPCB-approved ZONE GUARDIAN .
Our enquiries to FM actually started in the autumn of 2017 (not long after our LPCB approval had been confirmed, in August of that year); formal application was made and samples were shipped to FM’s laboratory in Rhode Island USA early last summer. After an airfreight delay of several weeks (how does a large pallet go missing in transit?) and a backlog in the FM testing lab, we are excited to confirm that we have recently been informed that the laboratory tests are successfully completed!
There are still several steps to go through, including of course our factory audit, but we hope to be able to announce full and final Approval by FM within the next few months.
As well as adding to our growing credibility globally, this international approval also starts to open up export markets for us (and our ZONE GUARDIAN partner, Zeffire) where – so far at least – we have not been strongly targeting although we do have several live enquiries.
We’ll obviously keep you informed, and of course we’ll make an announcement the minute we have good news, but if you have any questions in the meantime then please email us.
