If you are looking for a low maintenance air compressor, or something really quiet, our range of Oil Free Air Compressors may just fit the bill for your client.

Offering the same level of reliability and ease of installation as lubricated versions, our oil-free models come with several advantages. Without the need for regular oil additions and replacements, maintenance is minimal, and there’s no risk of oil leaks or spills. The cylinders in these compressors are pre-lubricated, typically with Teflon, which helps protect the pump over time, resulting in less upkeep and fewer repairs.

We provide various options for Oil Free Air Compressors, all designed to meet various LPC, BS, FM, NFPA and EN12845 standards.
The SEP0.7S.OFQ and SEP1.5S.OFQ also have the added advantage of being whisper quiet, coming in at just 58 dB(A) We have also recently added an upgraded version of the long-standing SEP550S/OF – the new 1.5S.OFS (oil free standard) to our range as well. Giving a higher output option where needed.

Advantages of SEP Oil-Free Compressors:

  • Low Maintenance: all models are obviously free of lubricant, making life easier for you and your client. Air filters just need checking annually, and replacing only if dirty.
  • Silent Operation: The SEP0.7S & 1.5S.OFQ models operate extremely quietly, making them suitable for noise-sensitive environments. 58dB(A) is equivalent to background office noise of a fridge running.
  • Pressure Switch: Standard models come with a Danfoss 2-6 bar pressure switch, cutting in at 2.8 and out at 3.5 bar. A low-pressure option offers a Danfoss 0.2-6 bar pressure switch, factory-set to customer requirements.
  • Safety Relief Valve: Equipped with a pressure safety relief valve set to 5.5 bar, or as required for low-pressure units, ensuring safe operation.
  • Pressure Gauge: Each unit features a glycerine-filled 63mm pressure gauge for accurate monitoring, accuracy-checked during our testing procedure.
  • Motor Controls: The motor controls include a contactor starter with thermal overload, on-delay timer and emergency safety stop.
  • Flexible Hose: A 0.5m flexible hose with a ½” adaptor for system connection is supplied as standard. 1m / 2m hoses available on request.
  • Mounting Options: All compressors come with integrated wall brackets and an optional multi-substrate fixing kit.
  • Air Receiver Tank: all models available with a 24 Litre air receiver/ tank, to suit FM and NFPA installations, or if an air maintenance device is being used.

The only question you may have is: if oil-free compressors are so good, then why aren’t they all like this? Quite simply, the self-lubricating mechanism (basically Teflon) wears over time, and can only do so much, so oil-free compressors are simply not capable of heavy duty applications and their life-span is unlikely to be as long as well-maintained lubricated models. As with all product selection questions, there are pros and cons – BUT we are always here to help you decide and pick the best solution to your problem.

If you don’t see the model you need among these options, please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements. We offer many custom versions, as we manufacture our own compressors, we have plenty of parts in stock, usually available for immediate dispatch should you need any replacements.

For superior performance and low maintenance, choose SEP Oil Free Air Compressors.
