One of our customers called recently to say they’d forgotten to order a Pump Initiation Board needed for a job in the region, and to ask if we had it. It was a configuration we don’t carry in stock, but seeing as we have sub-assemblies ready for non-standard configurations it wasn’t a problem to make up.
The real challenge came next – firstly, the rest of the job had been ordered from someone else – that’s life, we say; but secondly, they needed it that afternoon to start work very early the next morning.
We can’t claim to do everything, or be perfect, but in this case we delivered! In fact, we not only ‘delivered’, but we delivered by hand, that very afternoon, as one of our team zipped across to Merseyside to hand the board to the on-site team.
