Compressors at the Ready

In last month’s newsletter, we did a quick link for ‘compressor season is coming’…for us, Autumn/Winter has always been the busiest time for air compressors as many alternate systems switch over and the compressors are working hard.

In fact, March 2018 – helped (if you can call it that) by the ‘Beast from the East’ – was one of our best months ever, with record numbers of compressors shipped and our 3rd best month for Zone Guardian.

Well, it might be the not-unknown press scaremongering, but it looks like the UK may be in for a severe winter over 2019/2020. So, if you have dry, alternate or tail-end fire sprinkler systems then you might want to consider getting ahead of the game and check everything out as soon as possible.

The Sunday Express has (on 20th October) suggested that parts of the UK could see the first snow and temperatures down to -10C before the end of the month.

University College London has also published a paper referenced by an article in the Independent suggesting that average temperatures in January and February 2020 may struggle to get above 5C.

We are working hard at the moment to build up our stock levels, so that we’ll be here and waiting if and when you need us…that’s assuming delivery vehicles can get through the snowdrifts, anyway…
