With immediate effect, we are able to reduce prices across the range of our PDVs (Priority Demand Valves)!
How can we do this? Well, there are two main reasons – firstly, our ongoing successful growth in this area since we launched our range of valves almost three years ago has allowed us to make stocking and manufacturing efficiencies; and secondly, due to our endless work with key partners on strategic purchasing, we have secured some better deals without compromising quality.
PDVs may be required for fire sprinkler or water mist systems (mains- or tank-fed), where the supply is not fire-dedicated and therefore the domestic supply may need to be cut off in the event of a fire sprinkler activation. The valve closure is triggered automatically (by an appropriate water flow switch, or from an alarm panel or BMS) or, in the case of a general power outage, fails in a safe closed position.
Currently, we supply solenoid-type valves in sizes up to 2″/50mm, and actuated butterfly-type valves in larger sizes – however, watch this space, because we are working on an option to offer actuated ball valves in sizes up to 2″/50mm as this type of valve offers some advantages in certain situations.
