Back in the 1990s, SEP was founded on the basis of the efficiency of factory fabrication, as opposed to trying to build every type of assembly on site – specifically, as we now understand it, pump initiation boards (PIBs).
Although this product group has since been overtaken by strong growth in air compressors and Zone Guardian, PIBs are still an important and significant part of our business.
Not only this, but we can (and do!) argue that ours are the best in the business, for the following reasons:
- Both our double-switch sprinkler boards, and our single-switch wet riser boards are the most compact available.
- Our sprinkler boards use a unique 4-port selector valve, which means we have around 1/3rd fewer components – this is turn means around 1/3rd small and 1/3rd lighter, and of course fewer leaks.
- Our barrel nipples are made just for us, and galvanised post-production, which means no rusty threads and unsightly printing.
- The polypropylene backboard is impervious to corrosion, permanently.
