Here at SEP, we have been carrying out our FREE ‘SEP product’ training in our bespoke demo room for two years, and during that time around 200 colleagues from the industry have benefited.
We cover product selection, installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting for Air Compressors, Pump Initiation Boards, Alarm Valve Booster Pumps, Zone Guardian, plus an overview of domestic/residential.
Now we are excited to confirm that our training has now been accredited by BAFSA, our very own industry body (the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association)!
This accreditation gives our training real credibility in the fire sprinkler market and, although tailored to the products we manufacture, it is far from ‘just a sales spiel’ (validated by attendee feedback, not just our words).
Some of the comments from the independent BAFSA training assessor included:
- “…centred on practical application rather than classroom-based delivery…using fully operational product installations and equipment representative of real-world systems”
- “…encouraged to discuss real-life scenarios…training is adapted to reflect the experience and professional requirements of individuals”
- “The quality of training delivery observed represented a notable strength of the programme…demonstrated extensive product knowledge and considerable practical experience”
- “A particular strength was the trainer’s ability to establish learners’ individual requirements at the outset…ensuring the content remained relevant to the group”
Obviously we are fairly and rightly proud of this achievement, our key aims of (1) delivery by product experts, as opposed to professional trainers who don’t know that much about the topic, and (2) ensuring relevance for all attendees, as opposed to blindly following a script. Mission accomplished!
Currently, these training sessions will continue to be free of charge, although at some point in the future there may be a small session administration fee to cover the costs of BAFSA accreditation and the issue of an ‘accredited training’ certificate for each attendee. This cost will still be significantly less than almost any other training course that your colleagues will attend.
